MYP Individuals & Societies | explained by Leelah and Nandini

Mr. Light’s Individuals & Societies class is currently studying a unit on Peace & War. In one of the lessons, the students conducted a simulation where every group was assigned a fictional country and given information on the military strength of their neighbours. Having appointed ambassadors and diplomats, the groups then interacted with each other to trade alliances, make secret deals and, in some cases, declare war. All students were engaged in negotiating and devising tactics to keep their country safe. The excitement and tension in room 471 was palpable.
