VIDEO | Self-Determined Diploma Programme Students Complete Individual Investigations in new STEMzone
The state-of-the-art STEMzone has been buzzing with activity as Grade 12 students carry out their Science Internal Assessments. The IB Diploma Programme students have been extremely busy working on their Individual Investigations for their science subjects.
To learn more about these innovative projects and to see how these self-determined students investigate their topics, please watch the video below to see them in action in our new STEM facilities.
In Grade 12, all IB Diploma Programme students complete an Individual Investigation for their science subject. This investigation counts for up to 25% towards their final grade in the subject.
Students choose the topic for their investigation and need to utilise all of the investigation skills they have developed during their Secondary career: not just how to set up an experiment or investigation, or how to analyse the information, but most importantly critical and creative thinking skills. It is a culmination of key skills that they have developed throughout their career at Antwerp International School.
